Home of Yatesville Lake State Park, Louisa, Kentucky is a great place for vacation — and it’s a great place to live!

It has been recognized as being one of the best fishing sites for bass, bluegill, and crappie in the state of Kentucky. Louisa exhibits an abundance of wildlife including the only bald eagle nesting area in Eastern Kentucky. Visitors can also enjoy boating, swimming, skiing, hiking, and camping.

It is also home to Eagle Ridge Golf Course, with 4-5 sets of tees on each hole, manicured fairways and immaculate greens, Eagle Ridge Golf Course offers opportunities for golfers of all skill levels. Eagle Ridge Golf Course received a Golf Digest Magazine Award as the “#3 Most Affordable New Public Golf Course” nationally in 2005. In 2009 Golf Digest magazine ranked the course #9 as the “Best Courses You Can Play.”

Downtown Louisa offers a cozy small-town setting with boutiques, coffee shop, and other local eateries such as Dee’s Drive-In. Catch all the local sporting events as well with fields and gyms located near Three Rivers Medical Center in town.

Located directly off the Country Music Highway in Lawrence County, visitors can stop in at the Falls Creek Pavilion marketplace where memorabilia of famous singers are showcased. The Showcase of Stars displays personal items of of stars from Elvis Presley to Loretta Lynn.
